December 2006 Kailua, HI.
Keiki O Ka Aina's SFAI program ( Supporting Families Affected by Incarceration ) brought Santa Claus and Christmas to the Women's Community Correctional Center in Kailua for a day of fun for the incarcerated mothers to spend with their children.

Woman participating in the Total Life Program (TLR) were allowed to participate in the activity and spend some time with their keiki enjoying activities, lunch, picture taking, and presents from Santa. Lots of photos were taken of the event that can be found here.

There were many opportunites for mother-child bonding to take place

The Kids Day events are held six times a year at WCCC and give the incarcerated mothers an opportunity to interact and bond with their children. This was Keiki O Ka Aina's first time to sponsor the event and is on the schedule to sponsor the event two more times, once during Easter with another taking place in the summer.
