Keiki O Ka Aina Honored As Outstanding Parent-Friendly Small Business for 2005

Since 1997, October has been Children and Youth Month in Hawaii that pays special honor to Hawaii's children and youth. Numerous activities and events are planned during the month to encourage spending quality time with parents and children.

Among the activities is honoring some of Hawaii's Outstanding Advocates for Children and Youth. Keiki O Ka Aina was nominated and selected as the Outstanding Parent-Friendly Small Business for 2005 by the State Commission on Fatherhood to be the recipient.

Keiki O Ka Aina's Executive Director Momi Guerrero-Durand and Elizabeth Santa Ana were invited to attend a luncheon at Washington Place that was sponsored by McDonald's of Hawaii and the Hawaii Children's Trust Fund to be awarded for the distinction.

Keiki O Ka Aina was presented with a Kamani wood plaque and proclamations from The Senate of the 23rd Legislature and The House of Representatives of the 23rd Legislature of the State of Hawaii to recongnize the achievements.
